[On 21.5.92, the DMLE sent a list of permissions requests regarding a law enforcement operation scheduled 4.6.92. Hogwarts administration responded promptly granting authorization with limited denials. DMLE records of the exchange have been lost or destroyed; a copy remains on file in the Hogwarts archives, accessed 2021.]

Permission requested for DMLE clearance on Hogwarts ground, 4/6 – 5/6 1992. Security detail previously approved by Headmaster’s Office.

1. DMLE Hit Wizard Team at gatehouse under leadership of Capt. A. Gumboil; team of 4 in total. Authorized to stun. Stationed outside school grounds, authorized to enter grounds and castle in case of escalation. AUTHORIZATION GRANTED.
2. Internal DMLE placements instructed to direct target to front entrance for arrest and capture. AUTHORIZATION GRANTED.
3. DMLE Auror Dawlish stationed at Hogsmeade entrance to ‘One-Eyed Witch Passage’ (Hogsmeade entrance: Honeydukes sweets shop, basement (approval granted: A. Flume, proprietor,); Hogwarts entrance: third floor, at statue of Gunhilda of Goorsmoor). Authorized to enter passage, communicate with internal DMLE agents via two-way mirror. Unauthorized to pass through passage into Hogwarts castle. Authorized to stun. AUTHORIZATION GRANTED.
4. DMLE Auror [REDACTED] stationed outside locked door to Third-Floor Corridor. Invisibility Cloak, two-way mirror use authorized. Authorized to stun upon provocation; ordered to tail target pending traget exit from Third-Floor Corridor. AUTHORIZATION DENIED BY HOGWARTS ADMINISTRATION PER 17.B.
5. DMLE Auror [REDACTED] stationed in classified location, accompanied by [REDACTED] in dual-agency operation. Intervention authorized if target poses lethal or unforgivable force; authorized to respond in kind. Activation forbidden without prior orders from [REDACTED]. AUTHORIZATION GRANTED.
